“…morrie gives his former student a crash course on living: clear and ruthless hindsight on what matters most when your days are numbered.” -amy tan, author on the joy luck club
it is a very touching book about a dying college professor giving his former student – one of his best friends – a lesson on life. i don’t believe i’ve ever cried and laughed so much reading a book. its incredibly sweet, and entirely true. mitch albom is the student. its so so touching. [and in the paperback version i have, there is a picture of morrie dancing on the inside cover. it makes the entire book more personable.]
“you have to find what’s good and true and beautiful in your life as it is now.”
– Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom
I miss Apollo š
I miss you too Ashley
I just finished reading Atlas Shrugged, and it was amazing! I loved it! Tuesdays with Morrie, that’s a brilliant book, you should read it! and while I’m on books, you should read Dandelion Wine, by Ray Bradbury, it’s wonderful.
and I think you should get some Over the Rhine! š http://www.overtherhine.com š I love Karin!
Kronos Q. are a progressive string quartet… they do a lot of straightforward classical compositions but have also collaborated with more mainstream bands like phish and dave matthews band. I think they’re best known for doing the soundtrack for Requiem for a Dream with Clint Mansell. Good mood music, especially for reading and studying. Get the soundtrack and see if you like it.
Well, as for Peter Gabriel, ‘So’ is probably his best album. & the new Dido is wonderful…I downloaded a few new ones off that album & “White Flag”, “This Land Is Mine”, “Stoned”, “Life For Rent” & “Mary’s In India” are all good (in my opinion). I’ll probably be getting that album in the near future.
Good choices.

“fall on your knees” by ann-marie macdonald – my mother got that one for her birthday… I might have to borrow it.
