This is a recent article I read that was posted in the antiwar community on livejournal. From it and countless other articles, we see that Iraqis have become emboldened in their opposition to the American occupation. It seems very foolish to believe that the capture of Saddam will lessen the resistance in any way. With the man many feared gone, there is a greater rallying cry to remove the American presence in their nation. As bad as Saddam was, the American occupation has certainly become a greater evil in the eyes of many, if not the vast majority, and that speaks volumes about this terrible and needless war.
