Counting Stars From The Tower

My musical discoveries of the past few days have been Stars and Jason Collett, more of the astounding artists from Arts & Crafts, which is easily one of Canada’s best record label (it’s also an artist management, design house, distribution and production company). I’ve been greatly enjoying the songs of both Stars and Jason Collett, but Stars have definitely made a much bigger impression on me.
Stars’ “Death to Death” is my current favourite track from their newest album, Heart. It’s a hauntingly dangerous pop song, much like the others, and it has an untangible quality that makes it stand out for me. There’s something about Stars that makes me believe that they will be a band I will look forward to hearing music from for years to come. Stars is a band you’ll be blessed to discover yourself, for they are some truly fine “soft-revolutionaries”. Like Stars, I’ve convinced it’s beauty that will save us, and Heart is a genuine example of beauty.
I don’t wish to dismiss Jason Collett, even in light of how great Stars are. I haven’t listened to many of his songs, but “Gabe” and “Blue Sky” are both of good quality. I’ll surely be able to form a more concrete opinion on his work when I am able to hear his album in its entirety. From all accounts I hear he’s brilliant.

Atop the tower the wind is cool and calm. Counting stars, connected with finger lines, is natural as we sit together, evolution souls. Holy lights falling inward convince each soul of the peace ever there. The moonlight shines in stillness.
