Gmail is Google’s new e-mail service. It has a full gig of e-mail storage so you never have to delete your e-mail messages. You can file them into categories or search them like you would search web pages with google. It’s really quite nice. I still have the invite if you’d like it.
Right now Gmail is just a webmail service, but you can download a program that will let you use it with outlook.
If your webhost allows forwarding you can likely forward messages to Gmail.

Are you going to use that as your primary e-mail address now? Just asking so I can update my address book.
Oh, and I’m definitely staying with Yahoo. I don’t even take up 2% of my 100MB. I have no idea what I’d do with an entire gig.

I will use this as my primary address, but I have my other accounts forwarded to my gmail address as well, so there’s no need to update your address book.
The extra storage isn’t the real strength of Gmail – it’s the ability to search e-mails, categorize them and keep them in conversation threads.
Yahoo has a “search mail” feature, too, but what do you mean by “categorize”?
You give each of your messages categories for archiving. For instance, I put LJ comments in an LJ category and financial documents in a category called Financial.
Conversation threading is also a very nice feature. Gmail groups your messages into conversations so that you can go back and reread whole conversations on one page if you wish.
