Observing The Doe Girl

She sat awkwardly looking around with fear-wide eyes. Her anxiety was palpable but unnoticed by the bus’ other passengers, who chattered in the blue seats. This doe girl seemed to be cowering beneath their crowded ruckus or perhaps their presence. Her lips quivered and she fidgeted with the air before her. Her wintered grass hair hung dry around her emotive doe face. Her upturned nose twitched slightly to her panicked breaths. She was unsheltered and fragile, somehow hunted.
