My Weekly Music Chart

          1. Well, that’s really all that’s worth listening to, in my opinion. They had a CD of remixes (Becoming Remixed), but it wasn’t all that great. Then the guys ditched Kelli, and I haven’t paid attention to them since : P

Kelli’s first solo CD is fun, though. Let me know if you’d like it, and I’ll upload what I’ve got : )

          2. I just couldn’t get into it. I found the whole thing kinda upsetting : /

I’ve got most of her first album, and will probably upload it to my journal soon, if you’re interested. It’s mostly pure pop fluff, but fun.

  1. Sure, come on down. 😉

Halifax somehow got the nickname of “Hell City” from some folks. I’m not sure if it has any origin other than playing with the word Halifax.
My favourite concert venue was The Marquee Club and the bar below it was called Hell’s Kitchen.

    1. Have you ever read Gone with the Wind? Scarlett mentions a few times that as soon as she’s rich again, she’ll tell all her “friends” to go to Halifax. I wonder if it was considered unladylike to say hell : P

      1. Perhaps. I haven’t read Gone with the Wind. Wasn’t it set during or near the American revolution? If she wasn’t a loyalist then that might put her in context, seeing that those tax-hating Americans didn’t think fondly of Brittish cities.

        1. Yes, during the civil war. Scarlett was not at all political, and loyal only to herself. She didn’t trouble herself with politics, for the most part.

It’s a good read. I definitely recommend it. It gave me a whole new perspective on slavery, and made me consider things I’d never thought of before.

  2. I miss Audioscrobbler… sadly I am not allowed to download the pluggin at school and my computer is dead 🙁
I might just make a list of my most played songs myself every friday and reset the count every monday.
