pixiedash, I think the problem you mentioned is really a matter of a need for balance. I believe that we need to accept our situations and find happiness within them while working to better ourselves and the world. Being complacent and doing nothing to help ourselves or feeling we are entitled to more than the necessities for happiness are both unhealthy states of mind.

I think what I was getting at more was that I refuse to eat into the influence of our society. The ills of going along with the grain. There is always a balance. I know what I can capable of (changing my life and others), and I know what I’m not (changing everyone’s lives and the world in one lifetime). 🙂
