Last.fm has been one of my favourite sites for several years now. It keeps track of all the music you listen to (through plugins for every major music player), introduces you to new artists and is creating a genuine “social music revolution”.
The site has just relaunched with wonderful new features that take away any advantage sites like Pandora had over it. It now has both a standalone player and a flash player that you can listen to in any browser. Now you’ll also find concert dates for bands featured on the site, free MP3 downloads and a “taste-o-meter” for seeing how much in common you have with strangers and your friends’ musical taste. Last.fm has always offered better recommendations than Pandora and now has the features to capture its rightful title as the best music discovery site on the internet.
I hope you’ll take the time to join up if you haven’t yet. You can take a peek at my profile and add me as a friend if you do.
