The Chronicle Herald is currently employing scabs to run its paper as its local staff are on strike. The paper allowed xenophobic, hateful and harmful articles to be published, including baseless attacks on refugee students. This forced the local school board to have to address the hateful lies and devote resources to reassuring students, staff and parents. Journalism outlets should be held to much higher standards and The Chronicle Herald has demonstrated time and time again that it deserves no readership until it rights its course.
