When I was a teenager, one of the fantasy series I read through was Irene Radford’s The Dragon Nimbus. I remember vividly that magic lace was used to mend a dragon’s wing in one of the books.
I read through the first two sub-series and the first of her Stargods trilogy, a sci fi series that, much like the Pern books, gave a sci fi origin to the fantasy world. I wonder if it would be worth going through the books I missed.
TTRPGs for Trans Rights in Florida is a bundle of 250+ TTRPGs, including the fantastic Wanderhome, for $5 USD. It’s great value and supports folks in dire situations in a state with fascists in control.
Hillsburn’s “Bad Behaviours” was shot a bit further from my home than the videos I shared the past two days, but the shots at the waterfront and Merv Sullivan Park flank me a couple km in different directions along the harbour.
Another video from the band, “Young Desire”, was shot a bit closer at the old Bloomfield school.
I dropped a couple books in a local little library box this afternoon. Getting a tiny bit of pre-Spring cleaning done felt good. I’m getting closer to being completely free of paper books again, save for a few I’ve set aside for Celestine.
Celestine has been enjoying a morning at the library, first with a concert, then photo ops with Elsa and Spider-Man and then visiting a session on rocks and minerals. Now she’s playing with toys in the play area and has picked out one book to take home.
It’s not at all surprising that this is her favorite place in the city.
