I Literally Carry My Shit Around

Ched De Gala’s I Literally Carry My Shit Around is a komik about a colostomy patient’s experience, showing some uncomfortable aspects. The openness about her life is the real strength of this 5-part series, alongside the facts of caring for her stoma and living with a colostomy bag.

The art is simple and fits the story and information being conveyed. The cursive lettering makes the text a bit tough to parse, but it’s absolutely worth reading.

This is the second komik from Ched De Gala that I’ve read, and I loved “Dear Ma, I’m a big girl na.” I am definitely looking forward to seeing more from her.
