I’ve been sharing bits from an excursion with Celestine and Tonet from Sunday and continued to document my play through of a Paper App Dungeon this week.

Celestine was watching Surf’s Up 2 today and I kept noticing weird wrestling references. I probably would have picked up on more if I was into WWE or actively watching it myself, but it turns out it stars a bunch of WWE wrestlers, including The Undertaker as a surfer called The Undertaker, and the now-disgraced Vince McMahon as an otter version of himself. How bizarre!

We stopped at a tea shop Saturday and brought home this delightful smoked tea. Thyolo Moto is my new favorite tea.

I’m back to crawling paper dungeons today. I had some close calls, but made it through floor 8 thanks to some teleportation.

I got through floor 10 of Paper App Dungeon, but lost enough gold there was nothing in the shop I could afford.

I read the new 2024 edition of David M. Ewalt’s Of Dice and Men today and enjoyed the added content. It explores the history of D&D, with a focus on the people involved in shaping and playing the game. This edition touches on the OGL fiasco and the growth the game saw through fifth edition.
