It was a quiet week but there were treasures to share on the Fediverse.

On Saturday I introduced Celestine to POGs and Monopoly, both with the copies I had when I was a kid. We were able to keep her surprisingly engaged with Monopoly for a while.

This weekend I’ve been reading Django Wexler’s Memory’s Wake, the first new Spelljammer novel in 30 years. Nearly halfway through and I’m enjoying it.

To accompany it, I’ve been listening to Spelljams, an album of songs inspired by the setting released in 2022, and the standout track from that for me is Lucius’ “Love is the Disaster”.

The lyrics are stellar:

It’s got many different faces and it’s hunting for your heart
Oh love’s the only monster that we greet with open arms
