Earlier in the month I stopped by Monster, our local game and comic store, with Celestine and made some aspirational gaming purchases.

I really like the Wardlings line from Wizkids that focuses on young adventurers and their familiars/companions. I’ve gotten a few of their miniatures to keep for when Celestine is ready to play D&D.

I also picked up some translucent purple dice from friendly local dice vendors Laughing Panda, who are genuinely lovely folks.

In 2024 I set a goal to read 48 books but passed that by a lot, finishing with 110 read.

I track all my reading at BookWyrm (@apollo@bookwyrm.social), and had a great time making reading a priority last year.

This year I’ll scale back my reading to prioritize play and creation.

I listen to podcasts through Pocketcasts and my recap surprised me a bit.

Even at my usual 2x speed, the 145 days listening seems overwhelming.

I have a lot of history, speculative fiction, and gaming podcasts I subscribe to, but the longest episode and most listened to podcast were both related to wrestling. Before AEW started I didn’t have an interest in wrestling, but now that I watch I find I enjoy it much more with the context provided by How2Wrestling and WhatCulture.

In 2024 I ran 681.66 km. Most of my runs last year we’re heading home after work, and I definitely had lulls due to weather. I’m hoping to keep more consistent this year and have winter slow me down less.
