Celestine received a bracelet kit for Easter and she wanted me to make one alongside her. The results weren’t as bad as I expected.

A simple spiral staircase bracelet in purple, blue, and white is around a wrist. A hand can also be seen.

During a run through Point Pleasant Park this morning, I came across these yarn bombed trees.

Sunday afternoon Celestine asked to play a game and we settled on HeroQuest. We started off on the back foot with just a dwarf and an elf tackling The Trial, but Tonet eventually joined as a barbarian. It was Celestine’s second time playing my childhood favorite game, and I’m not sure she has been won over yet.

After watching his Fighting Fantasy history video, I looked through Jordan Sorcery’s other videos and found that he also did one on HeroQuest. It’s a snappy look at the phenomenon of the game and how it was created.

I didn’t get a lot of exposure to Games Workshop growing up and never could bring myself to get sucked into the terrible commitments of Warhammer, but I’ve been surprised by how many formative gaming experiences I had were tied to that company. Fighting Fantasy was created by two of Games Workshop’s founders, Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone, and HeroQuest was co-developed by creators there and set in an altered version of the Warhammer world.

The past three days I’ve done some longer runs as I push myself to finish all of the alternative missions in Marvel Move and unlock everything before I lose access to it forever at the end of this month. It has felt good to extend my daily distance and I’d like to keep it up for as long as I can.

Three Marvel Move run logs show runs done on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, with 9.13 km, 7.99 km, and 7.14 km run.

Poe released a short, experimental video a couple days ago. Her music and the community around it were such important parts of my life and it would be wonderful to have a third album after the 26 year drought since Haunted.
