Most of what I sent out into the fediverse was my play through of Chuck this week. That’s in a precarious state and I’ll collect it when the game ends. Otherwise, it was a quiet week.

When I backed the Neon Odyssey Kickstarter this year I wanted to take in anime and other space fantasy / western shows to prepare for running games.
The creators of Neon Odyssey cite Cowboy Bebop as a major influence and it’s a gap in my anime watching.
I loved the few episodes of The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers I rewatched repeatedly as a kid.
I knew Time Bokan only through the Time Fighters dub and recut version.
I’m planning to alternate watching them before the NO release.
D&D has long included Appendix N, which lists works that influenced the game and became recommended reading for players.
Maybe Neon Odyssey will include a similar official list in one of its books, but I’m creating my own Appendix NO list for the games I’ll run.
Cowboy Bebop is a canon inspiration from the creators. Time Bokan and Galaxy Rangers haven’t been mentioned as far as I know, but they’re formative works for me and I expect experiencing them again will spark play ideas.
I picked up two comics from hold at the central library after work yesterday. I’ve been eagerly looking forward to both for months. I love comic histories and TTRPGs, and I love just about everything Saul Williams does, so my reading promises to be rich for a while.
