I finished reading Saul Williams’ Martyr Loser King comic this morning. I’m still just as into its anti-colonialist cyberpunk as I was in the first pages.

Panels from a comic depict two black men. The left panel shows one man wearing decorative sunglasses and a middle panel shows a phone being handed from one person to another. The third panel shows a surprised man with a goatee looking at a screen and saying, "Wait, you have I-Fi?"
Comic panels show a hand holding a phone. On the screen are hashtags, including #martyloserking, #allcoltranesolosatonce, and #hackthesystem

I played through the fourth quest of First Light in HeroQuest today. My heroes faced off with a wizard who summoned undead and discovered a secret passage into the mountain. They’re slowly gathering artifacts and equipment to survive future dangers.

A HeroQuest board has plastic and cardboard miniatures placed on it. A group of heroes are surrounded by skeletons wielding scythes. Dice can also be seen on the board.

I had to pick up a prescription for Celestine after work and stopped by Churned, the best ice cream shop in the city, to try their Nectarine Crisp flavour. It’s another great one.

A waffle bowl is held in a hand in front of a wall. Nectarine Crisp ice cream fills the bowl.

The latest episode of Stuff You Should Know is about the venerable Canadian hero Terry Fox.

A clear sign that summer is coming to an end, Canada Geese are gathering before heading south.

A group of Canada Geese have gathered in grass along an active transportation path. Beyond, shops and a dental office can be seen.

RPG Trader has a big bundle of 134 solo games for the month of September.

“All the games in this bundle are designed to be played on your own, or include rulesets that enable solo play.”

My D&D group gathered last night. Our characters visited a market for the undead and fought vampire spawn in a crypt that might have a passage back to the world we left behind after a big battle ended in an unexpected transit to the Shadowfell.

Three sleeved cards for a D&D character can be seen on a stack of similar cards. One is for the spell Telekinetic Propel, one is for coins, and another describes the character Bamfi.
Dice of multiple types are clustered in a cardboard box. Blue, gold, and purple are recurring colours.
