Friday afternoon I met Cerra in the H.F.C. While strengthening my immunity to turning red in lingerie stores, I noticed that the vast majority of this season’s fashions are in bright pink and orange. I hope I’m not alone in finding the garish nature of these to be unappealing. In an intimate situation, the blinding brightness would not be beneficial, I believe (Note that this is one of the very few times you’ll read about fashion here, so don’t fear that I’m going to make it a habit).
After leaving the mall, we ate peanut butter cookies (which is becoming a very pleasant tradition), talked and sat in the cemetery for a while. There is a remarkable number of tourists that visit that particular cemetery (it holds graves of Titanic victims), though I doubt they appreciate the real value of such a peaceful place. It was a very nice way to spend a day graced with beautiful weather.
I was pointed in the direction of Dhammic Socialism tonight. It’s a refreshing and enticing approach to socialism that parallels my own views on how it should be attained. You’ll find plenty of information in the links on that page. I highly recommend looking into this oft-overlooked branch of socialism.
On a lighter note, you can test your reflexes, mental prowess and patience with the flash game Ballgame. The goal is to separate a mixture of ten red balls and ten blue balls into two sections of the playing area by moving a hole in the wall. It’s quite challenging and a worthy distraction for a few minutes.

Holy wow…
I think my brain exploded from that game. ;(
Dhammic Socialism? *clicks the link*
This is interesting, I’m going to read more about it. Thank you for posting it! (And the brain explodey game!)
I’m always glad you share things to make someone’s brain explode.
That’s a great game … reminds me of the stuff in those “complexity theory and quantum physics for lay people” books … something about the daemon who controls the gate?
Anyhow, have a peek at this other game she has linked to.
That other game is based on a television show aimed at preschool-age children (a Teletubbies-like show that encourages exercise in young children while using squeek-beeping language). The game was actually amusing for a time.
Yes, it was amusing … if only for a while … a whole array of pretty fine effects.
I dunno if you caught “Dhammic Socialism” in my first post or my second; the reason I bring this up is that in the second I discover Dhamma Yatra, which apparently means “walking for dharma”. Check out the “what and why” on that page. I have to say, this feels really quite special.
I happened to read your second post before reading the second (working my way backward on my friends page). I did read about Dhamma Yatra as well, and found it impressive as well.
Garish is one of my favourite words, ever.
It really is a very appropriate word.
