Cleanliness

It’s been a couple of very busy days here on Liverpool Street. Much of my time has been spent cleaning up the entire apartment, and reinstalling XP and programs on my laptop. There is still quite a bit of cleaning to finish up, but the apartment is definitely looking more livable right now.

In the afternoon yesterday Greg and I went walking in search of some necessities. I needed some sort of windown covering, and wanted something unique. I ended up buying a table cloth at The Black Market for that purpose. It works well enough, though it’s a bit short… Orange, Red and Black patterns adorn it, so it’s cerainly an unusual color combination for me. Perhaps a positive change.

During our trek I came across a copy of The Coast with Buck 65 on the cover. All of you can read it here. Here’s a piece from the article:

“I have this approach and philosophy to writing and making music that is similar to the way a lot of the beat generation writers wrote,” he says. “You write in the moment and you make your words a snapshot about the way you feel. It’s not good to go back and edit and change it because that dilutes the original feeling.”

Reflecting upon this, it makes me wonder if the online journal trend has at least some of its roots in the beat generation. Anyone have thoughts on this?

We also decided to rent a couple movies at Video Difference, Little Otik (Otesanek) and Ringu (The original Japanese version of The Ring). I’m looking forward to watching Otesanek tonight, as it seems like a wonderful offbeat folktale.

That is about all of the excitement for the weekend, as cleaning and unpacking have been taking up most of the hours of both days. I’ll be keeping up the productive actions, though, because I’ll have more cleaning and errands to run tomorrow. I must also get back to meditating and reading each day as well.

Change is constant.
