Ah…it’s a shame the next book in the Sword of Truth series, Chainfire, isn’t supposed to be out until January. I’d say put that on your list as well. =D
I doubt I’ll ever buy another book by Terry Goodkind. His last was horrendous. His Rand-inspired ideology is just too warped and exposed in his recent works to make them worth buying.
Ahh…I haven’t gotten that far yet. I got quite distracted, and am only part way through Soul of the Fire… I’ll keep that in mind though, when I do get to his latest stuff.
Naked Empire is bad. He has a chaper-long monologue given by Richard about how pacifists deserve to die, for instance. His early books were well written and enjoyable because his beliefs weren’t the focus, the story was. Now he’s put his Any Rand-inspired agenda in the fore. Even if I didn’t despise such beliefs, he simply doesn’t tell a story as well or even have a story that is compelling.
Yes, I do still have it. Tonight I’m going to try installing a new hard drive in my Nomad. If that goes off without a hitch I’d certainly be willing to sell the mini disc player.
yes…but Mom and dad don’t know what to get me for xmas…so I might just get them to buy me one. Or you could sell it to them…I dunno. I just can’t think of anything to ask mom and dad for xmas.
