Not wanting to be ‘booed’, Bush will skip Parliament and speak in Halifax
So, the most hated man on earth will be visiting our lovely city. What can we put together to welcome him with style?

Oh my God.
I’m making posters. When’s he due to be here? Where? Is there a time and place??
We MUST do something. I’m thinking quiet protest.
I’ll do a quiet protest. I just don’t wanna be maced LOL That sucks.
I will be watching to see what’s planned.
I’ll do quiet or loud, whatever is decided upon as most effective. Gotta warm up the vocal chords.
Wens, The Airport. Specific time, I don’t know.
There’s likely a group of people at Dal/Kings going up to protest already, try to hook up with them or something.
I wish I could go get my protest on, but I have to make da moola on Wen 🙁 Stupid 9 Am to 5:30 pm shift 🙁
That’s a shame you can’t be involved. I’ll be there for sure, since Wednesday is my day off.
Viva la getting of the protest on.
As a side note, I have a new screw driver set from Radio Shack as a replacement for the tinkering… if it fails I will need a drill 🙁
I’m brainstorming for the event. I’m going to try to find out more from local peace organizations that worked on the Iraq invasion protests I was a part of.
keep us informed of anything happening that you may know off. I want to go and take photos and document it.
I’ll be sure to. If you do take photos of the event, would you be willing to share some for use in my public journal?
of course. I also have access to a Canon A70 so will have it for its video capabilities as well.
Oh, excellent. I want to document the protest as best I can and would appreciate any help you can offer on the visual end.
not a problem Lets figure out whats happening and from there meet up and do it
Sure, that sounds good. I think, as I said above, we should consider following the lead of local peace organizations. I had positive experiences with them.
I may have that day off. If I do I will try to make it in!
Oh, I hope you will.
It is quite unfortunate to think that he would be welcomed in my Neo-Conservative province.
Wish I could be there
Nova Scotia’s generally conservative as well (when it comes to choosing provincial representation and initiatives at least). Maybe Bush Co. saw that and didn’t realize we also have a large student and activist community for such a small province.
