I suppose I’ll put a new hard drive in my laptop, seeing that my nomad is officially dead. I’ll have to save up and get a new one, it seems.
Ah technology, how you’ve failed me.

couldn’t figure out a good way to get the drive out?

I ripped the back pannel off without harming anything… then realized that the screw on the inside held the drive in place. I worked to get it out, eventually resorting to breaking the plastic around the screw. Still everything worked when I turned on the nomad. Then when I was taking out the old drive I found that it was attatched to the operating chip and kinda broke it. I now have a drill / electric screw driver, though, so if I ever need to use one I can.
Was the honking before or after the downpour in which I became extremely soaked?

ewww…you reallly should have just sent it back after you knew the first hard drive didn’t work.
The way the damage occured was out of warranty. I called and was told they couldn’t help me. 🙁
