8tracks has become one of my favourite online services very quickly. There is a great selection of music available through the site and I have been using it as a discovery engine for my own collection of music. Some of my favourite mixes are Vegan Restaurant, In the End There’s Only Love, A Lover’s Discourse: Fragments, This Woman’s Work II, and Jalapeño Tofu Scramble & Brussels Sprout Hash.
The last mix is part of a series of mixes created by Cooking with Coltrane, a vegan food and music blog that paired recipes with music. This kind of creative use of mixes is what excites me about the curated music that 8tracks facilitates.

I’ve made a second mix myself this week. I think it will become a weekly activity for me because I enjoy sharing my weird music tastes so much.
