I was late to seeing Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse because I was traveling while it was in theatres, but even after hearing so many glowing reviews of it, it still exceeded my expectations when I watched it today. The characters were perfectly translated from comic to film, the visuals were inventive, and the soundtrack was impressive.
This was a great start to what I hope will be many animated films fleshing out characters such as Spider-Gwen, Miles Morales and Miguel O’Hara. As a life-long Spider-Man fan, this was the movie I didn’t know I was waiting for, leaving all the previous Spider-films feeling flat.
