Model Minority

Cory Doctorow’s Model Minority is a novella that explores police brutality and corruption, and social justice by taking the Superman story and refreshing it. Cory doesn’t stray far from his frequent focus on protest and how to effect change, but by playing in the superhero sandbox he gives us something fresh.

Model Minority is the story of a Superman-like figure who attempts to rectify the corruption of the police forces he long erroneously thought protected the defenseless…only to find his efforts adversely affecting their victims.

The audiobook is expertly narrated by Marron Willis, who gives it a measured, grounded character that makes the superhero story compelling.

This story is available as a standalone audiobook, and as part of the collection Radicalized in ebook and audiobook formats. A hardcover is also available.
