The Simple Vegan Pitaza

I love pizza, but sometimes the time or cost to prepare one isn’t appealing. That’s why making a pita-za is a perfect substitute for a full pizza.

This weekend I’ve been making a simple vegan cheese pita-za or pitaza with 3 ingredients and adding spices occasionally. You could add more toppings, but this is the basic, delicious method. You’ll end up with a crunchy outer crust and a soft inner portion. It’s satisfying to just tear the pita into pieces and dig in.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Set your oven to broil at 500.
  2. Place a the pita on a pizza pan and cover the pita with sauce.
  3. Add a thin layer of cheese.
  4. Place in the oven until the cheese starts to brown (5-10 minutes).
  5. Remove, cool and serve.
A very simple vegan cheese pitaza.
