Araz Demha’s Moments of Relief

Araz Demha’s new album Moments of Relief is a moving, beautiful work. It’s presented as “Hopeful songs for sad people. Marching songs for the zombie apocalypse.” and that’s apt. There’s a sadness in the songs, but they are uplifting and surprising.

I can feel your love like gold running through quartz seams
It pulses and winds its way back to you
Licks at my wrists and pulls at my temples
Then pulses and winds it way back to you
Where I’m running to
