By Wednesday evening Calgary had cooled off a lot, so instead of running I decided to try out Fitness Boxing, a rhythm-focused exercise game for Nintendo Switch.

The game reminded me a lot of some of the components of Wii Fit U, which I miss as an option on Switch. Fitness Boxing has a much narrower focus, but I found the workouts and presentation in the game to be engaging. It would have been nice to have more supporting using proper form and the music was pretty lackluster, but overall it’s solid.

  1. I’ve started playing Fitness Boxing again as a way to get in some exercises on days I’m not able to get out for a run or don’t have a morning pushup routine to attend to. It’s not particularly strenuous, but I do appreciate the structure it provides and it is a fun rhythm game.
