We didn’t fly out from Vancouver until the evening, so we decided to head to Burnaby by train and stop at Metropolis at Metrotown, the largest mall in B.C.

One of my favorite things about being in Metro Vancouver is how easy it is to get around by train. I would have loved to spend more time on trains during this visit, but closing out our travel on one felt right.

At the mall Celestine wanted to have her picture taken at a photo studio’s underwater scene, and we spotted some gigantic sea creature decorations around the mall.
The mall had some chains I hadn’t encountered before, and I was able to briefly stop at some I remembered from the last time I was there.

We headed to the airport in the late afternoon. Vancouver’s airport is pleasant enough and I was happy to find vegan meals available in the UpMeals vending machine by our gate to fuel me for the flight back home to Halifax.
