In What The–?! from 1990, Lobdell and Byrne brought together Marvel’s greatest villain with Santa in the story “I’ll Be Doom For Christmas”. So today it’s time for two Marvel holiday panels.

Today’s Marvel holiday panel comes from Spider-Man Holiday Special 1995.

Spider-Man and The Human Torch have a conversation atop the Statue of Liberty and have to leave when a helicopter approaches. They wish each other merry Christmas.

We’re having a morning crossing the harbour and at the ferry terminal Celestine sat down at the piano. I noticed the theme to Howl’s Moving Castle was open.

I received a belated birthday present from my sister Ilea today and was delighted to get an Astro Boy shirt (I now happily have three), vegan nut butter cups, and a stack of vintage sci fi and fantasy. I guess those need to factor into my 2026 reading plans.

I remembered that Zombie Dice has an expansion with Santa, so I taught Celestine the game and we had a festive, brain-eating rolling session.

We met up with Celestine’s oldest friend and his mom at the oval for skating today. She’s learning fast.

Afterwards, the kids had a great time sliding around the skate park nearby.
