I shared a bit about visiting Peggy’s Cove and D&D this week but was mostly happy to have my fediverse feed be full of fascinating things from others.

Today we visited Peggy’s Cove and its lighthouse. My father, my sister, my niece, Celestine, Tonet and myself wandered the rocks and the village.

The kids marveled at the stickered door to the Peggy’s Cove lighthouse.

The glacier-smoothed coast contrasting with the blue water and white waves at Peggy’s Cove is beautiful.

Peggy’s Cove is a fishing village transformed into a tourist destination, but there is still some real charm to be found.

There is a series of stunning pieces by Mi’kmaq artist Zeta Paul installed at bus shelters near Scotia Square in Halifax. This one always catches my attention.

I’m looking forward to reading her comic book, Borderline, which comes out later this year.

An art piece by Zeta Paul installed at a bus shelter by Scotia Square in Halifax. The piece is titled "When L'nu Come Home". It shows a giant woman moving through a cityscape with an indigenous encampment in the foreground.

I spotted this shiny anti-fascist sticker while on a walk yesterday.

A golden Death to Fascism sticker has been stuck on a pole.

It’s been raining all day and I finally got out for my lunch walk and encountered this slug.

A slug crawls across a sidewalk.

I’ve been listening to all the actual play podcasts from Legends of Avantris related to their Neon Odyssey project to bring space opera to D&D 5.5e. Stardust Rhapsody: Overture was often silly smashing up with galaxy-shaking drama. It didn’t always work, but I enjoyed the experience of listening to the campaign.

A character image for Stardust Rhapsody: Overture featuring its main cast of space-faring weirdos, including a slime-person, a space clown, and a space elf.

Tonight in our D&D session our heroes faced off with demon apes and rescued a captive performer in a crypt.
