Bush beat out a shortlist of fictional film bad guys, including the nefarious Doctor Octopus, played by Alfred Molina, in “Spider-Man 2”; cannibalistic Leatherface in “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”; Andy Serkis’ creepy Gollum from “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy; and the eyepatch-wearing assassin played by Daryl Hannah in “Kill Bill: Vol. 2.”
Almost 10,000 people voted in the poll, conducted by Total Film magazine. Results were announced Wednesday.
“It is possible that people have been a little bit tongue in cheek here, but they are also saying that Bush was very scary in ‘Fahrenheit 9/11,’ ” said the magazine’s editor, Matt Mueller.

The moral of this story: Real life monsters are scarier than anything our imaginations can conjure.

That article brings tears of joy to my eyes.
It doesn’t lend that much joy to me, but it is good to know that people in the UK, at least, see Bush’s less-trustable-than-Gollum persona.
this is pretty hilarious
I think Gollum is a more lovable villain. He’d get my vote for charisma. As for being frightening, Bush definitely takes that one.
BAH HA HA HA! that’s CLASSIC! *gigantos grin*
At first I laughed like mad, then I focused on reality and said “Oh. Crap. Wow.”
Alfred Molina is a great actor. *hugs him*
Gollum was creepy in a good way, almost cute.
*pets him* *wipes slime from hand*
Elle Driver (Darryl Hannah’s character) was scary, but not that scary.
And I didn’t see The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but I heard it was very scary indeed, so to put Bush up against Leatherface and hear that Bush won? Scary indeed.
I wish Bush was just a character in a movie.
