Great Ocean Road

Starting today I’m running the Great Ocean Road Virtual Challenge to run a total of about 240 km. I’m aiming to do that in about 12 weeks, so if I get out for 4 runs each week during the winter and do a distance of 5 km each time I’ll be on target.

Yesterday I finished the virtual mission I made back in November. I liked using the My Virtual Mission site and app enough that I decided to do one of The Conqueror Virtual Challenges for my next running target.

Starting today I’m running the Great Ocean Road Virtual Challenge to run a total of about 240 km. I’m aiming to do that in about 12 weeks, so if I get out for 4 runs each week during the winter and do a distance of 5 km each time I’ll be on target.

The challenge is themed around travelling along the south eastern coast of Australia, a region known for its surfing. What better way to motivate myself to get out running in the bitter winter than imagining progress along a road where summer will be happening?

The Great Ocean Road Virtual Challenge takes you 149 miles along the spectacular Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia.

Each time you complete a distance based exercise activity such as running, walking, cycling, swimming etc you advance along the Great Ocean Road.

The perfect tool for maintaining focus and motivation whether you are training for an event or just wanting to have fun while keeping fit!
